This Victorian style house was built in 1896 for Gen. Frank Hall. Frank Hall's wife, Susan Matthews, was the niece of Schuyler Colfax. Frank Hall held a number of significant posts over the years including acting as the secretary of the Butterfield Overland Dispatch Company, which later became Wells Fargo and Company. This building has been a nursing home, a child-care facility, and a dormitory, it was purchased and renovated in 1980.
