Exterior photograph of the Photography and Armament School building located in Denver, Colorado. The 1942 Armament and Photography School Buildings are located on the grounds of the former Lowry Air Force Base. The Armament School was the only Army armament school in the western United States. The Photography School was the Army's only such school in 1942 and later, the only Army Air Corps photography school in the western United States. The buildings are important expressions of the International style of architecture. They are associated with military architecture that reflected the growing technological power of the United States Army during the 1940s, particularly in the Air Corps.
