Exterior photograph of the column porch support on the Townsend House located in Denver, Colorado. The Geddis and Seerie Stone Company built the Townsend House in 1892. Primarily involved in large contracts, including the Brown Palace Hotel and various public buildings, the firm built few residences, and fewer yet still stand. Constructed of double-glazed red brick with sandstone accents and foundation, the house is an example of Denver's architectural transition from Victorian era styles to the Neoclassical.
