Black
Hawk

Nevada
may
be
classed
as
one

interests

settlement

three
miles

length
. The
mountains
line
their
approaches
, and
surround
them on
all
sides

which
are
crowded
prolific
mines
of
unlimited
wealth
. In
Black
Hawk
are
located
expensive
smelting
works
there
being
nearly
a
score
of
stamp
mills
in
constant
operation
; and
no
visitor
to
Colorado
should
fail
to
see
Black
Hawk
and
Central
; its
mines
,
mills
and
reduction
works
. The
road
to them
passes
through
Clear
Creek
Canyon
,
which
presents
some
of the
most
majestic
scenery
to be
found
in the
Rocky
Mountains
.
