Title	War Department marker located at the site of the third Julesburg (Weir) which came into existence in 1867 as end of track for the Union Pacific, when it was larger than Denver of that day.
Summary	A war department marker is situated in a grassy field near Julesburg, Colorado in Sedgwick County. The stone marker has two iron pegs that stick out of the top of it. The words "War Dept Corps of Engineers U. S. Army 1874" are etched into the front of the stone.

Notes	Formerly F29094.; Hand-written on back of photoprint: "The other side of the marker has the latitude, longitude & altitude. There was probably something on the two upright iron pegs, but it has long since disappeared. The marker is of solid stone, not concrete."; Title hand-written on back of photoprint.; R7100096078
