WPA (Works Progress Administration) workmen are resurfacing one side of South Broadway in Englewood, Colorado. A rope barracade runs down the middle of the street between two sets of trolley tracks; trolley wires are overhead. A trolley is in the distance, near two women crossing the street and street repair equipment. A man in a jacket and hat, possibly the foreman, strides down the center of the street. Signs on the businesses along the street read: ""Frank's Cut Rate Liquors" Sherman Williams Paint Hardware" "Drugs" "Liquor" "Used Furniture" "Taxi" "Bus" Standard Service" "Drugs Liquor" "Public Service" "Invisible Shoe Repair" "Republican Headquarters" "Pioneer, Now at the Gothic, Raft Sheridan Bogart, In They Drive by Night, Sporting [?]" "Cafe" "Colorado Central Power Co." and "Drink Budweiser, The Spa."
