View of the Denver Dry Goods Department Store on California Street between 15th (Fifteenth) Street and 16th (Sixteenth Street) in the Central Business District of Denver, Colorado. The block long brick, sand and lime stone building was built in several sections. The original section is six stories and has a cornice with dentils and decorative brackets. Architect Frank Edbrooke added the rear addition with round, arched fourth story windows, a Renaissance Revival influenced frieze, and a bracketed cornice, he also added the sixth story to the original structure. The final addition was the setback addition atop the building. Awnings cover the stores display windows. High rises are in the distance.
