Title	Librarian signs up another reader

Summary	A librarian at the Lakewood Branch of the Jefferson County Library, Mrs. Herman Van Blois, explains the summer reading program to ten year-old Ricci de Neve. She holds a card that reads, "Reading is Something to Crow About!" A sign (with a goat drawn on it) on the desk reads: "Books are for you to enjoy not to destroy." A stack of books is on the desk behind them.

Notes	Hand-written on back of photoprint: "Mrs. Herman Van Blois, 10911 W. 44th Ave., librarian at the Lakewood branch of the Jefferson County Library, explains to Ricci de Neve the vacation reading program set up by metropolitan Denver libraries this summer. Ricci, 10520 W. 26th Ave., is one of thousands of Jefferson County children enrolling in the program. Any child who reads the minimum of eight books during vacation wins a gold seal on his tally card, with certificates and blue ribbons for those who read more books.
