The bottom of the sign consists of a narrow skirt with vertical uprights. Electric lights are mounted on top of, and pointed at the sign. The sign shows a Scotsman in a tam o'shanter, he wears a plaid scarf, carries a shillelagh and holds a bottle of wine, the label reads: "Ambrose Fine California Wine." Letters near the Scotsman read: "Hoot Mon! What a Wine Value" "Full Quart 59 Cents All Taxes Paid." Text on the sign reads: "Ambrose Brand America's Finest Wine" "Available in Port - Sherry - Muscatel - Tokay - Angelica - Madeira, At Reputable Dealers."
