Two women stand among the ruins of the Colorado Yule Marble Company finishing mill in Marble (Gunnison County), Colorado. Shows large blocks of marble stacked near marble block walls and large marble block pillars to support two overhead cranes. The marble reinforcing was added 1914-1915 to every fourth or fifth wooden tower. The gray building in back with the rectangular opening is the vault, a fireproof building used to store company documents. The partial marble wall was the middle of three firewalls to prevent fire from spreading.
