Bullfight on August 24 or 25, 1895, in the wood bullring at the race track in Gillett, Colorado. Joe Wolfe organized the event which caused a scandal because of its cruelty to animals. The matador, Jose Marrero (with cape) and one of the banderillos (holding banderillas) watch the leaping bull, who appears to have a cape over his head. Spectators are in the stands behind the wood fence; the grandstand is decorated with bunting.
