A group of men, including "Death Valley Scott" rides horses in a dirt arena for Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show. The group includes an American cowboy (Scott), a Mexican vaquero, a Native American, and a Russian Georgian Cossack. They are members of "Buffalo Bill's Congress of Rough Riders of the World." Several men stand outside of the arena in the background under a canopy tent. William Frederick "Buffalo Bill" Cody reportedly told Scott not to roll his saddle blanket under his saddle but he rolled it anyway. Cody fined him $25 for insubordination and then reportedly returned the money to Scott.
