Title	Black Hawk, Main St., Gilpin Co., Colo.
Summary	View southwest from Swede Hill of Main St. Black Hawk, Colorado; shows The Gilpin Hotel and Ben Olsen's Saloon building. Across the street is a rectangular, stone, flat-roofed building and the Black Hawk Boiler and Sheet Iron Works (owned and operated by George Stoehle in the 1860's.) It was used as a county highway maintenance garage until 1973 when it burned down. The scar left by the narrow gauge is visible on Bobtail Hill, as well as trucks, automobiles and propane tanks.

Notes	Formerly F40830.; Penciled on back of print: Note that the big guilding rt. center, has burned down by 1973. It was in the very early photos-see page 105 of "Central City and black Hawk Then and Now" and Plate 9 of " Colo's Little Kingdom." It started life as a boiler factory-finished as a construction company headquarters.; Title hand-written on back of photoprint.; R7100020441
