The Windsor Hotel, which opened its doors June 23, 1880, at the northeast corner of 18th (Eighteenth) and Larimer streets in downtown Denver, Colorado, was built by an English firm under the direction of James Duff. The exterior of the Windsor Hotel featured sandstone from the Fort Collins area and gray stone from near Castle Rock. Striped awnings hang over the Windsor Pharmacy on the first floor of the hotel where cigars, drugs, boots, shoes and gents furnishings are advertised. A flag pole stands on the roof of the building. A large sign reading "Windsor" sits atop the corner rooftop. Street scene includes a horse-drawn carriage, pedestrians on the street corner, and tracks of a streetcar. The hotel closed in 1958 and was demolished in 1959.
