Summary	and the grocery and provision store of Mason M. Seavey. In the right center foreground is the wood-frame building with a false front that housed the Chinese laundry shop where a fire started May 21, 1874 and destroyed most of the business section of the town. The Rocky Mountain National Bank and Mose Comfort's Gambling House are in the center midground on Main Street. The Montana Theatre, the Concert Hall Billiard Room, the Wells Fargo Express office, the Harley B. ; Morse law office and residence, the Central City Daily Register and Masonic Hall, Washington Hall, St. James Methodist Church and the residences of William M. Roworth, George Patton and Henry M. Teller. Additional houses dot the hillside in the background, including those of Samuel Cushman, David C. Collier, John Y. Glendinen, Hal Sayre, George Patton's barn, D.S. Green, the Lee family, William A. Arnold and Horace Atkins. The Winnebago Mine and Stamp Mill sits near the ; The Variety Theater, also known as the "Shoo Fly" stands in the left foreground on the far side of Main Street in Central City, Colorado. The Belvidere Theatre is next door. The first opera performance of "The Bohemian Girl" was presented in the theater in April 1877 and resulted in plans to build the Central City Opera House. A few storefronts down is the O.K. Clothing Store owned by A. Jacobs & Company. On the near side of Main Street are the Central City post office ; top of the hill in the left background.
