Summary	stairs extends down the hill from the academy to the Catholic church (later the site of St. Mary's of the Assumption Church built in 1892). Numerous brick buildings stand along Main Street in the midground, including the Temple of Fashion, an undertaker's office, a hardware, a bookstore and a grocery store. The First National Bank of Central City stands at the corner of Main and Eureka streets. Nuneous piles of lumber are stacked at the rear of the brick buildings in ; the midground. Ladders, possibly fire escapes, lead to the back entrances of the buildings. A railroad track, possibly for the Gilpin Tramway, cuts across the right foreground. A large rock formation is in the left foreground.; The Teller House, named for Henry M. Teller, one of Colorado's first senators, stands at the corner of Eureka and Pine streets in Central City, Colorado. The roof of the Central City Opera House is visible behind the Teller House. Across Eureka Street stand St. James Methodist Church and the residence of Teller while he lived and worked as a lawyer in Central City. The St. Aloysius Academy stands near the top of Gunnell Hill in the left background. A long, wood set of
