Theodora Ranney Lake, Harry's wife, stands in front of a large shrub holding a parasol on one shoulder, probably at the couple's home in Central City, Colorado. The two married in 1891 and had two children, W. R. Lake and Marjorie Breed. Mrs. Lake has a large bow on her head and wears a dress decorated with bands of floral patches. At her waist is a dark sash with a light-colored heart in the center.
