A set of metal spurs hangs from a set of long horns mounted on a wood plaque hanging on the wall in the Kemp family cabin in Eldora, a mining town in Boulder County, Colorado. A holstered knife and a holstered gun hang from a smaller set of horns hanging below the spurs. A miniature replica of a buffalo head hangs above the long set of horns. Log beams line the ceiling. John H. Kemp (father of the photographer), who owned the Happy Valley Placer Mine, was one of the ; founders of Eldora in the 1890s.
