Summary	Female beauty contestants, fashionably dressed, board the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy, Denver Zephyr in Chicago, Illinois. "Queen Virginia Roper" wears a crown and shakes hands with Ralph Budd the president of the railroad. The other contestants are identified as (clockwise) Florence Collier, Betty Foster, Wilma Adams, their chaperon, Mrs. H.C. Leuty and Beverly Peterson. General Passenger Agent J.R. Van Dyke stands beside the women.

Notes	Condition: white masking fluid painted on left, lower and right margins of photograph, inked ruling lines visible on top and bottom margin, discolored.; Handwritten on back of photographic print "Beauties 3 col today" and clipping adhered reads "..Come for the "Silver Queen" and her....[Silver Prin]cesses" whom THE DENVER POST sen[t]...initial trip of the Burlington railroads new "Denver Zephyr" [a]fter four glamorous days in the Windy City-swaying farewell to President "Ralph [?] of the Burlington lines as they boarded the "Zephyr" at 6/30 o'clock Thursday evening. They reached Denver at 8:30 a.m. Friday-absolutely the happiest girls in Colorado! J.R. Van Dyke, general passenger agent, is at the left in the foreground, while Budd, at the right, is shaking hands with "Queen Virginia' Roper of Denver. the other girls are Florence Collier, Betty Foster, Wilma Adams, Mrs. H.C.
