Brick and stone buildings line Main Street in Canon City, Colorado. These commercial buildings have bracketed cornices, pediments, turrets, bay windows and mansard roofs. Most have canvas awnings; some are extended. Signs read: "Kaye Bros Provisions Flour Grain" "Restaurant Open Day and Night Meals 15 & 25 Cents ? Private Dining Rooms" "[Mer]chant Tailor." The Caitlin Building has stone quoins and a pediment, arc lamps hang overhead, and pedestrians, horses and buggies mill throughout. An American flag hangs over the boardwalk.
