Title	Wood carving of the Four Freedoms
Summary	Photograph of a wood carving depiction of the Four Freedoms by James Gertin, an African-American (Black) student, at Manual Training High School in Denver, Colorado. "The Four Freedoms" is carved at the top of the piece. A radio microphone represents freedom of speech, a dove and a cross enfolded by wings represents freedom of worship, and a cornucopia of wheat, bread, corn, and fruits represents freedom from want. Freedom from fear is depicted by a bayonet that impales a swastika and a flag with the rising sun. Carved in the middle of the images is a hand with two fingers in a "V for Victory" sign.
