Native American (Kiowa) men and women, Gourd Clan members (some of whom are descendants of the Kiowa Chief Satanta or White Bear Person) participate in a Gourd Clan dance in Carnegie, Oklahoma. Some of the men hold sticks that are decorated with feathers and wear blankets over their shoulders and metal bead bandoliers, one man wears a fringed belt, scarves over his braids, face paint, and a fur turban, another wears a roach; others wear cowboy hats.
