On south Main Street in Breckenridge, Colorado, a two-story, false fronted building on the left has a sign reading "Miner's Home Saloon." The next building, with its low false front flanking the gabled roof has a banner below its three sash windows reading "Bankrupt stock must be closed out within 60 days." The frame, two-story building that follows has twin, parallel gables with a shared, half height false front. A half-round window is set in each gable end, and lettering below them reads "Denver Hotel." Its open balcony has a line of sash windows topping it, and its piers, balustrades and arches are decorated with sawtoothed bargeboard. Many other buildings line the street into the distance; deep snow conceals the fronts. Two men on skis with single poles and shoulder bags are in the foreground and a dog is with them.
