Stone memorial marker with a bronze plaque commemorates the Wagon Box Fight, (Wagon Box Battle) between the United States Army and Native American Sioux and Cheyenne warriors in the last major conflict of the Bozeman Trail conflicts (Red Cloud's War), August 2, 1867, Wyoming. A corral of wagon boxes helped the troops defeat the Sioux.
