Eleven firemen of the Blue River Hose Company in Breckenridge, Colorado, pose in their dress uniforms, including conductor's caps with metal badges, dark pants, wide belts with edges bound in white leather, and pullover bib shirts. Their shirts have buttoned chest protectors, with herald shaped patches sewn onto them, and corresponding patches on the forearms. The patches have sprig patterns in the shape of an 'H.' All have wide, quilted lapels and similar quilting on their forearms; a leg- seam ribbon shows on some of the men's pants. The man on the left has his arm around a burro, and a plank roofed log cabin and evergreens are in the background.
