Title	Cliff House in fog
Summary	Exterior view of the Cliff House Hotel in Manitou Springs, Colorado, looking northeast. This three story frame structure with hipped gable roof and wrap around porch and balcony was the premier hotel in the west, featuring 110 rooms, hot and cold water, and an elevator. The north wing's windows have striped canvas awnings, and the balcony of the two story gable roofed south wing has roll-downs of the same fabric. A man is seated on the stoop of the north wing, reading; other people are on the veranda. A circular area in front of the north wing is enclosed by an ornate wooden fence, and there is a wrought iron fence in the lower left of the image. A boy is wearing a crusher hat; a girl wearing a white frock holds a straw hat; both children are looking into the camera. The hills in the background are obscured by fog that trails below the widow's walk railing on the top of the Hotel, revealing the sign on the soffit that reads: 'Cliff House'. Electric wires cross the upper center of the image.
