Exterior view of the Arlington Hotel in Manitou Springs, Colorado, looking east. This two-story, cross gabled frame structure has an open side porch and deck with railing. The striped canvas awning that shelters the deck is retracted, and small trees obscure the details of the deck. The jigsaw work on the open porch upright is visible, next to it is a flagpole and flag. Several people are posed on Pawnee Street, in front of the rock retaining wall that fronts the Hotel, and on the Hotel's steps. The men are in sack suit dittoes with straw hats, bowlers, winged collars and gold chains; the women are in a variety of dress styles, with high puffed shoulders, light and dark prints, and no hats. One woman is holding a baby; a little girl sits on a burro. Another house is visible to the north with a man on the porch; electric wires cross the top of the image.
