Summary	Exterior view of the carriage house and office on the grounds of the Hamill House, located at the corner of Argentine and Third (3rd) Streets in Georgetown, Colorado. The house was built by Joseph Watson, and was acquired by William A. Hamill in 1874. Additions were added between 1874 and 1881 including these two buildings. The carriage house is connected to the office by a stone arch; both buildings have hipped roofs, dormers, and are topped by lanterns. The buildings are of local stone and are faced with granite from the Silver Plume quarry. A narrow dirt road parallels the buildings; a rock-strewn grassy field is in the foreground. Leavenworth Mountain, with mine tailings visible, is in the background.

Notes	Formerly MO139.; Hand-written in pencil on back of photoprint: At the rear of the Hamill House. The building center is the carriage house and the farther structure is General Hamill's office Building. Both are built of country rock from the area, faced with dressed granite from Silver Plume quarry.
