Exterior view of the Georgetown Courier building, Georgetown, Colorado. The newspaper began publication in 1878, with Jesse S. Randall as publisher, and was in this building starting in 1877. The wood construction building has a false front with a heavy cornice with brackets, a sloped roof, four windows, a rock foundation, and a shed construction on the back. "Courier" is painted in the upper right corner of the side of the building. The front of the building has a central recessed double door with large windows on either side; above the first floor on the facade a line indicates where a sloping porch roof has been removed, and three long supports with iron filigree left from the porch roof are above the door and windows. The building is weathered and shabby. Griffith Mountain is in the distance.
