Interior view of the Hamill House, in Georgetown, Colorado, built by Joseph Watson and later acquired by mine owner William A. Hamill in 1874; shows a fireplace (with metal grate) surrounded by tiles of busts and full-length figures of women, a carved wooden mantle, and a large mirror framed with architectural woodwork above the fireplace. On the mantle stands a Rogers group sculpture of a young woman and a girl. An Eastlake-style carved firescreen is next to the fireplace, with a large shuttered window behind it, and a small bench in front. In front of a large shuttered window stands a full-length sculptural figure wearing a turban and holding a horizontal element in both hands; the figure is mounted on a pedestal.
