Stamp on verso of typed label: Sep 1, 1939 F. H. F.; Title and date hand-written on back of photoprint.; Typed label with photoprint: left to right- Samuel Andrew Dean, 91; Irvin B. "Red" Rogers, the man responsible for bringing the "South to the West"; and General James Robert Sadler. Sadler and Dean are both from Memphis, Tennessee. They have been pals since Civil War days, when Sadler saved Dean from being stepped on by a horse during a battle which occurred in connection with the occupation of Memphis. "Red" Rogers, until recently political boss of Trinidad, is credited with having conceived and "built" the $250,000 Memorial Park and headquarters for all veterans organizations, which led to the Confederate veterans reunion being held in Trinidad. Rogers is an AEF veteran, son of a Confederate war veteran.; R7100017977
