State nursing home in Trinidad, Colorado is a complex of low gable roofed brick buildings, mostly one story, with a two story central hall. A cantilevered shelter is over the drive and the gables and panels between the windows are of white siding. The roofs are finished with red scoria, and dotted with numerous turban and sheet metal vents. A windblown American flag is on a flagpole. The complex is landscaped with square- trimmed privet hedges, evergreens and lawn. Scrub dotted bluffs are in the background.
