Summary	View of conventioneers in Trinidad, Colorado. Two uniformed marines with band insignias stand hats in hand talking to four young women in formal gowns. Two of the gowns are of a brocaded sheer fabric, and two of the ladies wear light colored wraps. The group stands on mown lawn that is surrounded by walls of rusticated stone.

Notes	Rubber stamp on verso of typed label reads: Sep 1, 1939 F. H. F.; Title and date hand-written on back of photoprint.; Typed label with photoprint reads: The marines never have just one girl apiece, but always at least two. Here two of the marines from the band have four local girls under their spell. Left to right: Lee Abend (French horn), Paul Hines (clarinet), Lucille Gagliardi, Marguerite Gagliardi, Phyllys McInerney (only her shoulder shows) and Delphine Barry. Note the Gagliardi girls seemingly foreign appearance. The southwest looks upon these girls as "natives" and considers "Anglos" as the "foreigners". This is a regular League of Nations meeting.; R7100018258
