View of a concert in Trinidad, Colorado. People crowd around an enclosure in which the Marine Band plays. The streetlights, with cast iron, four-sided brackets and white glass globes have bunting strung between them, and the Columbian Hotel has bunting draped on its front. Signs on the buildings read: "Savings Bank" "Chicago Cafe Chop Suey" and "Lawson Walgreen Agency Drugs."

Notes
Stamp on verso of typed label: Sep 1, 1939 F. H. F.; Title and date hand-written on back of photoprint.; Typed label with photoprint: A section of the crowd jammed in to hear the noon band concert of the United States Marine Band in front of convention headquarters, the Columbian Hotel. The Marines took the town by storm, provided most of the "color" of the reunion and convention. The Marines say the smaller the town the more fun they have (off duty, of course) and Trinidad was the smallest town in which they have spent several days for a long time.; R7100018151
