Band members, dressed in white, march on brick Commercial Street in Trinidad, Colorado, carrying instruments and American flags. The Packer Building (1884) has rusticated sandstone trim and dentiled tin cornice. Trophy shaped finials top the building at intervals, and the upper floor windows have curved arches alternating with pointed ones. Most of the buildings have canvas awnings and signs. Prominent signs include: the sheet metal and neon "Blue Parrot Inn" with the likeness of a parrot, and "Veltona Soda, None Nicer, Ice Cream."
