Summary	Several houses are built above a masonry retaining wall along Second High Street, a dirt road in Central City, Colorado. The house in the center is a two story brick with two gables that intersect a hipped roof. It has three chimneys, wrought iron roof cresting, and two vents. The upper window under the gable is arched with decorative brick work over the top. The lower windows are rectangular and also have decorative brick work over their tops. A bay window projects from the side of the house. Steps lead from the street to the yard. Next to this house is a one story, clapboard house with a front gable, and an elaborate, covered front porch. A two story, brick house with a hipped roof and bay windows is behind the houses. Debris litters the foreground, and vegetation and trees grow in front of the retaining wall.
