Summary	An injured student lashed to a stretcher is lowered off a snowbank approximately six feet deep by a team of ten 87th Mountain Infantry Regiment (re-enforced) soldiers into an ambulance. At the top of the image one soldier on skis stands in a deep snow-plough position holding a rope to stabilize the stretcher. Three men kneel at the top of the snowbank to support the top of the strecher. Six men support the bottom of the stretcher and prepare to put it into the ambulance. All are in dark wool uniforms, caps and shoe-packs. According to the caption one of the men is Sargeant McKenzie.
