Notes
Hand-written on back of photoprint: "A painting by Rebecca Enos, (Denver artist, Junior Leaguer and society matron) which took second prize in an exhibition at Chappell House, a branch of the Denver Art Museum. The Painting shows the famous Cornish stone-masonry in the foreground, St. Paul's Episcopal Church steeple to the right, (the first fashionable church in Colorado), and the red shaft-house of the deserted Comstock mine in the upper center. The precipitous higgledy-piggeldy is typical of Central City. The house of Mrs. Enos & Mrs F. W. Bunker of Washington is just behind the shaft house."
