The Salvation Army's barracks on the east corner of 14th (Fourteenth) and Lawrence, Denver, Colorado, once housed the Lawrence Street Methodist Church. Brick church built in 1865 with a front gable, square entry tower and flanked by square corner towers. Pedestrians, early automobiles, carriages, bicycles and delivery wagons show on streets and sidewalks. Businesses include the four story Turner Storage and Packing building and J. E. Kiefer Plumbing Company. Signs read: "For Sale this 2 lot corner F. B. Whipple & Co., Boston Bldg." "The only rival to Lipton's Tea is Lipton's Coffee sold only in cans of tin to keep the flavor in."
