Morrison, Jefferson County, Colorado, consists of frame dwellings and commercial buildings. A line of beehives fronts a house in the foreground; a yard nearby has freightcars in it. A three-story stone building on a rise has a clipped, cross-gabled roof and an open porch. This structure was built by George Morrison (the town's founder) in 1874 as a hotel for Governor John Evans. Hogback is in the background.
