Summary	A Native American (Plains) lance. The point is constructed of metal and the handle is a rake handle. It is decorated with a rawhide band painted red, a braid of black hair wrapped in rawhide painted red, eagle feather and buffalo fur.

Notes	Accession ID: H.5162; History Colorado.; Curatorial note supplied by History Colorado: "This lance has a braided human hairlock attached. It was examined on 08/12/96 by CHS Conservator, Jeanne Brako, who concluded that the hair was not attached to any skin.
