Summary	Men wear suits or suspenders and work clothes and pose beside a smokestack encased by deteriorated brick walls 22 miles outside of De Beque in Mesa County or Garfield County Colorado. An American flag is attached to scaffolding that surrounds an oil shale retort (still). Layered shale is on the steep slope above the retort.
