The flat section has murals of historic Boulder scenes and personalities painted on the exterior. The section of the building with the gabled roof is painted in a trompe l'oeil manner as a rustic wooden barn with an open hayloft door and a sign that reads: "Blacksmith." This section has double doors and a sign over the door that reads: "1920 7th Street."
