Shows a one-story, red brick structure in the Classical Revival style. The building has a flat roof, cornice with a faux modillion course, parapet, a covered porch, a rough-hewn stone foundation, and round arched windows. This building originally served as the pump house for City Park. From 1950 to 1959 it served as the "elephant house" for the adjoining Denver Zoo. A sign over the front door reads: "East Dist. 2100 Steele."
