View of the Shady Greenhorn building in Greenhorn, Colo. The building once contained a café, liquor store and variety store. The simple structure is defined by a rough stucco facade, pediment and decorative vigas. Located south of Colorado City in Pueblo County, Colo., the town was once a key stage coach stop in the late 19th century and a popular rest stop on old State Highway 181. Bypassed with the development of Interstate 25 in the late 1950s, Greenhorn soon after became a ghost town.
