View of the Rifle Post Office located at the southeastern corner of Railroad Avenue and East 4th Street, Rifle, Colorado. The one-story red brick Colonial Revival style post office has standing brass and copper lanterns standing next to the granite steps. The facade has a Georgian Revival entry with a cast iron eagle perched below thirteen stars in an arched transom above the entrance door. The post office contains George Vander Sluis' 1942 wall mural entitled, "Colorado Landscape."
