Title and content derived from inventory prepared by Kathleen Barlow.; From inventory: "The Italianate/Beaux Arts station was first constructed in 1881 and designed by William E. Taylor. After a fire destroyed much of the building, the Kansas City firm of Van Brunt and Howe rebuilt and redesigned the building in the Italianate style. The central hall was redesigned and expanded in 1912 in a combination Beaux-Arts and neoclassical style by the Gove and Walsh. The center hall has large round-arched windows."; Scanned image from loaned collection.; R7001517042; Digitization sponsored by the Kenneth King Foundation.
