CHUN Board of Delegates Meeting
March 26, 1981
Capitol Hill Community Center
The meeting was called to order by Jan Moore-Kirkland at !\W? pm.
The minutes of February 26 were approved as circulated.
Board members present were Lynn Adams, Chris Citron-Moore, Dene Clark,
Elizabeth Crawford, Pam Crouch, Lillian Davidson, Robert Duncan, Beth
Shugart-Duncan, Bob Fuller, Nancy Hauswald, Mike Henry, John Hitch, Sarah
Hite, Bernie Jones, Sally Kurtzman, Meredith McBurney, Jock McNulty,
Jan Moore-Kirkland, Dan Paulien, Larry Ramsdell, Kathleen Reilly, Joyce
Thorn. Others attending were Mary Cook, Max VanPatton, LeRoy Miller,
Morrie Berkowitz, Dick Johnston, Meg Nagel. Nancy Rettig, Barb Martens,
Ron Yost, Bill Pace, Morey Wolfson, Kay James, Constance Mordell, Rick
Rogow, Allen Schwartz, Rick Foster, Amy Crowley, Peter Crowley, Dennis
Claus, Colleen Wifat, Al Latham, Sally Schaefer, Keith Schaefer, John
Brown, Alice Maiso, Frank Fulton, Mahri Ericksson, Caroline Bancroft,
Jack Rogers, William Heinzman, Chris Matthews, Suzanne Clark.
Treasurers Report. Jock McNulty circulated the CHUN financial statement
for the two months ending 3/26/81. Balence in CHUN checking account
1/22/81 was 13099*32. Receipts (including $6000
transfer from savings) totaled $7838.00. Expenses totaled $10,113.57.
Balance in checking account 3/26/81 is $823.75; savings account balance
is $3359.39 for total cash-on-hand of $if183.14- We now have a NOW
account with Columbia Savings.
Staff Coordinator. Meg Nagel announced tha following new newsletter
sponsors: New York Connection Restaurant - $300; Argonaut Liquors -
$50 (for two month trial). Meg is working on memberships, with the
fundraiser, and the Crime Watch program for Neighborhood 5.
Newsletter. Robert Duncan moved the Board approve a $120 expenditure
to apply for a second class permit to mail the Urban Dweller. The
postal rate would then be 2-1-30 each. He is working on a special iasue
of the Urban Dweller for the People1s Fair for publicity and exposure.
The cost will be $120 for 3000 copies.
Each Neighborhood Assembly has met.
Membership. Jan Moore-Kirkland requested Neighborhood Delegates call
members who have not renewed. She encouraged us to bring in new members.
There will be a prize for the person who has brought in the most new members by the annual meeting on April 23.
Nominating Committee Report. Dan Paulien, Chairman, circulated his

The motion was seconded and carried.
Peopled Fair. The annual parade will be Sunday, a satire on normal
parades. Auditions for entertainment will be April 12. Poster contest
