BS capitol hill united neighborhoods inc CHUN Board of Delegates Meeting Capitol Hill Community Center, 1290 Williams September 25, I98O Minutes The meeting was called to order by President Marcia Hughes at 7:40 pm. Board members present were Sally Barton, Chris Citron- Moore, Dene Clark, Elizabeth Dobrovolny, Patsy Frannea, Bob Fuller, Scott Hardy, Mike Henry, Joanne Hill, John Hitch, Sara Hite, Bernie Jones, Tobi Kanter, Meredith McBurney, Jock McNulty, Alex Oliszewski, Kathleen Reilly, Elizabeth Singer, Joyce Thorn, Sandy Weston. Others attending were Beth Shugart, Meg Nagel, Jerry Vasquez, George Gonzales, Tom 0°Conner, Robert Duncan, Morris Berkowitz. The minutes of the August 28 meeting were approved as mailed. Board Vacancies. Marcia announced the resignations of Mark Korman and Bob McRae from neighborhoods 6 and 3 respectively. These vacancies will be filled by the Neighborhood Assemblies. Bernie Jones moved that Charles Sterret and James Roderick share an At- large Delegate seat. They are representatives of CHARG. The motion was seconded and passed. Tobi Kanter moved that Beth Shugart and Robert Duncan share an At-large Delegate seat. They are editing the newsletter. The motion was seconded and passed. General Meetings. Sandy Weston announced the following General Meetings and urged the Board to attend: October 14 - Candidate and Issues Forum 7:00 pm at St. John's Cathedral October 23 - Priority Setting Meeting at 7:30 pm at the Community Center with a 6:30 potluck preceding it INC (InterNeighborhood Cooperation) wants us to take a stand on the Metropolitan Council and an elected RTD Board, two issues on the November ballot. Tobi Kanter moved CHUN support an elected RTD Board, which motion was seconded and passed. Sandy Weston moved we take a position on the Metropolitan Council at the October 14 Candidate and Issues Forum. The motion was seconded and passed. Treasurer. Jock McNulty circulated CHUN's financial statement Balance in CHUN checking account 8/27/80 was $593-90. Receipts of membership for $124 and transfer from People's Fair account of $2000 totaled $2124. Total expenditures were $1704.45, leaving a balance in the CHUN checking account 9/25/80 of $1003. 45. Savings account balance (excluding $7500 committed Peopl's Fair money) totals $7198.11. Balance in the People°s Fair checking account is $1278.65, leaving total cash-on-hand of $9480.21. Sandy Weston moved that Jock investigate finding a bank without a service charge and authorize his transferring our funds to that bank. The motion was seconded and carried. Staff Coordinator. Meg Nagel reported that Barb Martens and two members of CHARG are attending a conference in Chicago on the mentally disabled, having raised $200 for expenses.
