May 22, 1980
The meeting was called to order by President Dan Paulien at
7s40 p.m.  Attending were Jim Osborn, Dan Paulien, Jan Moore-
Kirkland, Larry Levi, Mark Korman, Joyce Thorn, Michael Henry,
Dene Clark, Hal Malmborg, V. Tobi Kanter, Sally Kurtzman,
Jim Hill, Bernie Jones, Pam Crouch, Sandy Weston, Liz Crawford,
Scott Hardy, John Hitch, Elizabeth Dobrovolny, Elizabeth Singer,
Marcia Hughes, Jock McNulty, Denzil Inman, Bob Fuller, Sally
Barton, Barb Martens, Jo Campbell, John Griffith, Margaret
Griffith, Christiane Citron Moore, Ken Freed, Charles Trainer,
and Sarah Hite.
People's Fair.  Jock Mcnulty reported a very successful People's
Fair despite Sunday's rain.  Profit from the Fair should be
roughly $12,000.
CHUN Staff.  Dan announced that Nancy Rettig has been hired
as CHUN's interim staff coordinator.  A committee is working
to define and upgrade the position.
General Meetings. Sandy Weston announced that the next General
Meeting is schoduled for June 26. She is selling cases of hot-
dogs and Polish sausage left from the CHUN People's Fair booth.
Treasurer's Report. Dene Clark circulated the CHUN Financial
Statement dated May 21, 1980.  Balance in CHUN checking account
4^7-80 was $1258.99.  Receipts totaled $2615.37; Expenditures -
$1956.04? leaving a balance 5-21-80 of $1918.32.  Dene mentioned
that CHUN is entitled to 10$ of last year's and this year's
People's Fair profits.
President's Report.  Dan stated that he had very much enjoyed the
opportunity to serve as president for two years.  He said this
year's income tax was filed on time.  Next year he believes^
we need to focus on communications and coordination of committee
meetings and information.
Election of Officers.  The following officers were nominated and
elected:
President - Marcia Hughes
Vice-President for Membership - Jan Moore-Kirkland
Vice-President for General Meetings - Sandy Weston
Secretary - Sarah Hite
Treasurer - Jock McNulty
Larry Levi moved we delay action on the position of Vice-
President for Communications until the next Board Meeting.  The
motion was seconded and passed.
